Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in a physician’s office or outpatient/inpatient setting performing documentation review per compliance and Medicare/Medicaid Standards.
• Familiar with diagnostic code sequencing and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Audits medical records per compliance measures for SPI Physicians and providers; prepares and distributes recommendations and reports detailing documentation issues.
• Provides education and training to providers and staff on coding practices.
• Serves as a resource on coding-related issues for SPI areas.
