Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a remote-backed Back Medical Coder to join our nationwide team. You will assign E/M, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes from medical records and ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines.

The role requires at least 2 years of professional coding experience, proficiency with EHR systems, and AHIMA or AAPC certifications. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required; CST hours apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required.
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding.
• Experience with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assign the principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures from medical records and code accordingly.
• Review discharge summaries, progress notes, and reports to ensure accurate coding.
• Ensure correct code selection following official guidelines and regulations.
• Abstract medical and demographic information and enter data into systems.
