Job summary

Moda Health is seeking a dedicated Data Entry Specialist to join our claims processing team. You will enter claims received by mail or electronically, and route data to the correct processing queues while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

This full-time work-from-home role requires a high school diploma, basic typing and data entry skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential to support timely, compliant healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months data entry experience.
• 10-key proficiency 135 spm net on a keypad.
• Typing ability 35 wpm net.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and understanding of basic claims processing rules.
• Strong problem solving and detail orientation skills.
• Medical terminology helpful.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in instructions.
• Ability to come into work on time and on a daily basis.
• Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.

Responsibilities

• Data enters claims accurately using Moda computer systems and reassigns claims as outlined by processing guidelines.
• Resolves claims with processing errors by matching to providers or member records.
• Researches and solves basic claims data issues.
• Identifies and communicates trends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
