Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a remote-based position open to candidates nationwide.

You will accurately prepare and submit medical claims, verify CPT/ICD-10 details, and resolve claim rejections to ensure timely payment and compliance with HIPAA. Responsibilities include processing claims, following up on unpaid items, and collaborating with coding and registration teams to obtain missing information.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle operations.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and claim submission standards.
• Proficient in billing software and EHR systems (Epic, Meditech, NextGen).
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process claims to ensure accurate billing to payers and patients.
• Verify billing information including CPT/ICD-10 codes, modifiers and demographics.
• Submit primary and secondary claims electronically or on paper as required.
• Resolve claim rejections by correcting and resubmitting promptly.
• Monitor unpaid or delayed claims and initiate follow-up or re-bill as needed.
• Collaborate with coding, registration and clinical teams to resolve issues.
