Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in medical billing or revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and claim submission standards.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and process claims for services to ensure accurate billing.
• Verify billing information including CPT/ICD-10 codes and demographics.
• Submit claims electronically or on paper as required.
• Resolve rejections and monitor delayed claims; follow up as needed.
• Collaborate with coding, registration and clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Respond to billing inquiries timely and professionally.
• Stay current with billing regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks.
