Henry J. Austin Health Center is seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to support the Revenue Cycle team in a remote, full-time capacity.

The role focuses on accurate claim submission, eligibility verification, and timely follow-up on denials to optimize cash flow. You will collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Manager and other staff to resolve billing issues, monitor accounts receivable, and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation while leveraging Athena EHR and billing software to improve

Qualificações

• Minimum 2–3 years of billing experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Experience with federal/state programs (Medicare/Medicaid) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and word processing.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely medical claims to insurance companies.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients; assist with eligibility checks.
• Follow up on claims and denials to resolve discrepancies and maximize reimbursements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist in reducing aging of accounts.
