Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to navigate multiple tabs and systems while on calls.
• CPB or CPC certification desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
• Prepare and review patient statements.
• Import and balance EFTs.
• Identify and correct rejected claims.
• Review delinquent accounts and contact for collections.
• Answer questions regarding billing and insurance policies.
• Process payments from insurance companies.
• Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied.
• Review and appeals unpaid and denied claims accordingly.
• Evaluate medical record documentation to ensure proper CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Obtain precertification, if required, for specific procedures.
• Investigate insurance fraud and report if found.
