DaMar Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our client in the healthcare startup space. The role focuses on accurate submission, tracking, and resolution of medical claims to ensure timely reimbursement and strong revenue cycle health, while operating in a fully remote environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of medical billing experience, CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and billing software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS terminology.
• Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing.
• Familiarity with claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR and medical billing software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately.
• Review claims for completeness and payer requirements.
• Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Post payments and adjustments accurately.
• Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Assist with reporting and revenue cycle improvement initiatives.
