MaineHealth seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fully remote, team-based environment. You will assist providers with clinical and administrative tasks, helping patients access virtual visits and complete registrations.

The role involves virtual patient rooming, processing messages, coordinating care, and maintaining strong communication by phone. Some weekend shifts are required, with hours in the EST zone.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred and medical assisting training with clinical hours completed.
• Certification: Current MA certs such as AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT required; BLS cert either at start or within 30 days.
• Experience: 6 months MA or 1 year MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant experience.

Responsabilités

• Virtually room patients and assist providers with clinical tasks.
• Provide technical support for virtual visits and help with registration.
• Manage work queues and prior authorizations.
• Perform medication reconciliations and pharmacy confirmations.
• Process in-basket messages and coordinate care.
• Communicate with patients extensively by phone.

Formation

High School diploma or GED

Medical Assisting program with 160 hours of clinical experience

1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice
