Optum is seeking a Medical Assistant to support day-to-day clinical care of patients under remote supervision in Scottsdale. The role involves processing provider orders, handling patient calls for refills, and assisting with triage as needed.

Requirements include a Medical Assistant program or military medic background, 1+ year ambulatory care experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. The position offers competitive pay and benefits, with a $4000 sign-on bonus after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program.
• 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.

Responsabilités

• Works on simple tasks using established procedures and protocols.
• Basic tasks completed without review by others.
• Supervision/guidance required for higher level tasks.
• Monitor and manage assigned pool/work queues ensuring timely completion of necessary clinical support needs.
• Create and communicate TE's/Messages across teams (e.g., central scheduling, clinical staff, providers) as necessary.
• Translate communicated information into concise and accurate written documentation.
• Send and receive tasks to provider office to assist patient with access to medical care.
• Answers incoming calls from patients or healthcare related entities and resolve issues.
• Assist with patient care tasks related to medication refills, relaying diagnostic results, in-basket management.
