Description
Seeking dedicated and patient-oriented Certified Medical Assistants to assist with a Telehealth program project. This is a fully remote position where you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with hypertension. CMAs will offer support and guidance on the use of their blood pressure kits provided to them. You will be responsible for handling inbound calls, offering exceptional customer service, and ensuring accurate collection of patient's vitals.
Handle 32–36 inbound patient calls per shift.
Assist patients with the setup and usage of blood pressure cuffs kits sent directly to them.
Provide clear and patient instructions to patients on how to use the equipment
Collect vitals from patients and ensure accurate documentation in an EMR system (Athena is used)
Escalate out-of-range blood pressure readings to internal clinicians for further evaluation and instructions for patients.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Maintain a high level of customer service and patience while interacting with patients over the phone.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required (will only accept from CCMA, AAMA, or AMT)
Previous experience in a telehealth or remote healthcare setting is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must have reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace for HIPPA privacy
to determine out of range vitals in patients
Must be Tech savvy and able to work with computers independently

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
