Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in Medical & Health Research to advance AI systems for healthcare workflows. You will design evaluation frameworks and clinical quality rubrics for trustworthy medical AI, and develop benchmark datasets for real-world clinical scenarios.

You will collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to evaluate medical AI systems, analyze safety and reasoning quality, and publish best-practice guidelines for industry use.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience conducting medical, clinical, or healthcare research.
• Strong understanding of research design and evidence-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design and own evaluation frameworks for AI in healthcare, including benchmarks, scoring methodologies, clinical quality rubrics, and validation protocols.
• Conduct research on medical reasoning, evidence-based decision making, clinical workflows, and information synthesis.
• Develop benchmark datasets and evaluation environments from real-world healthcare scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to evaluate and improve healthcare-focused AI systems.
• Analyze performance, safety, reasoning quality, and failure patterns in medical use cases.
• Produce research reports, evaluation methodologies, and best-practice guidelines.
