Job summary

AbleLight is seeking a Medicaid Pre-Billing Auditor to evaluate Medicaid billing, coding, authorizations and related documentation. The role will focus on pre-billing audits, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to reduce regulatory risk.

Remote position open to candidates in CO, CA, MN, WA, OR, MO. Requires five years in auditing, healthcare credentials and bachelor’s degree; offers strong benefits and competitive salary in the $95k–$105k range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of auditing experience, including reviewing claims, coding and supporting documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Professional certifications such as CPC, CCS-P, CPMA, CHC or other relevant healthcare credential sought.

Responsibilities

• Auditing and monitoring Medicaid claims and records to ensure accuracy and billing compliance (70%).
• Maintain defensible audit reports with objectives, criteria, methodology, evidence, conclusions and reviewer decisions.
• Collaborate with departments and implement audit-management platforms and analytics tools.
• Provide Medicaid billing, coding and documentation guidance; stay updated on regulatory changes and payer requirements.
