Job summary

Humana is seeking an Associate Actuary, General to provide actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs for the IL Medicaid Market.

The role includes capitation rate reviews, drafting rate advocacy communications, actual-to-expected analytics, forecasting market-specific financial results, and advisory support to executives on strategic matters while under supervision of an FSA Actuary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• ASA plus advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• 3 or more years of technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Capitation rate review.
• Draft rate advocacy communications.
• Actual-to-expected business analytics and forecasting.
• Ad hoc market support for Illinois Medicaid.
• Advise executives to develop functional strategies and exercise independent judgment.
