Job summary

Synthires is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert (MSc or PhD) for a remote, contractor role focused on AI training projects involving design, modeling, simulation, and problem-solving with emphasis on coding agents and Python workflows.

You will translate physical systems into analytical models, develop and validate solutions, and ensure outputs meet specifications. Expected workload ~15 hours/week, with performance-based pay.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
• Proficiency with coding agents.
• Experience with Python for engineering workflows.
• Strong technical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate engineering problems involving design, analysis, simulation, testing, and R&D.
• Translate physical systems into analytical or computational models.
• Create or modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, contacts, constraints, and solver inputs.
• Evaluate simulation results against physical requirements and design constraints.
• Develop and validate engineering solutions using appropriate computational tools.
• Ensure outputs are accurate, reproducible, and meet project specifications.
