Sophos is seeking an MDR Threat Analyst to join our remote, enterprise-grade cyber defense team. You will work with log analysis and endpoint collection systems to investigate and neutralize threats, guiding junior analysts and helping improve security operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a SOC or computer security team within IT environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT/CS.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours for a 24/7/365 MDR service.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalations from level I Threat Analysts and guide investigations.
• On-board and train new Threat Analysts to maintain service quality.
• Provide detection and response to security events and cyber-threats.
• Conduct security log management and monitoring.
• Create MDR service-related reports and client cases.
• Research indicators, trends, and vulnerabilities to refine detection.
