Alignerr is seeking Mathematics Researchers with advanced degrees to help train and evaluate AI models—designing rigorous problems, stress-testing mathematical reasoning, and ensuring AI can think with precision and depth. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role for 10-40 hours per week.

You'll work asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts, solving complex mathematical challenges and ensuring rigor and clarity in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mathematics or closely related field.
• Strong grounding in algebra, calculus, statistics, or discrete mathematics.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB or Mathematica for research.

Responsibilities

• Develop, solve, and review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance and genuine depth.
• Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics to design complex problem statements.
• Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, rigor, and clarity.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to push AI model reasoning.
• Ensure mathematical precision and intellectual integrity across deliverables.
• Work independently on task-based assignments — entirely on your own schedule.
