About This Role

Think Academy's Middle School Math Competition team is looking for a part-time, remote teaching assistant to provide in-class and after-class assistance to our AMC10 students. Teaching assistants will guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic potential and enhance their problem-solving skills.

Your responsibilities as an AMC10 Teaching Assistant include:

• Keeping the class proceeding in an orderly fashion, answering any questions students might have, communicating with parents about any absences, and generally creating a conducive environment for study.
• Reminding students to submit homework, grading assignments, guiding students to office hours, and helping answer questions from students or parents.
• Providing timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and performances to promote continuous improvement.
• Helping maintain our WeCom parent group throughout the semester.
• Recording video explanations for homework problems.
• Editing textbooks and other learning materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as Master's, or experience in AMC10 competition are highly preferred.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese to communicate with team members and parents.
• Passionate about education and willing to help students achieve their potential.
• Responsible and responsive to facilitate remote work.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
