Job summary

ICL Academy seeks a highly motivated Math Curriculum SME to enhance asynchronous courses (AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Algebra 1, Geometry). You will update assignments and assessments after audits, align with standards, and improve student engagement across 30 lessons.

This is remote work with clear deadlines. Ideal candidates hold a math-related degree, can design standards-aligned content, and communicate effectively in writing for asynchronous learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or related field.
• Expertise in AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Algebra 1, or Geometry.
• Classroom teaching or curriculum development for grades 5–12.
• Experience designing standards-aligned assignments and assessments.
• Ability to create interactive multimedia math content (Desmos, Amplify).
• Strong written communication for asynchronous instruction.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Revise assignments to align with objectives and standards.
• Incorporate modern assessment strategies.
• Create engaging multimedia math experiences (Desmos, Amplify).
• Ensure clear instructions for asynchronous learners.
• Redesign assessments for rigor and alignment.
• Develop diverse question types and improved feedback.
• Implement authentic/performance-based assessment strategies.
• Attend onboarding and project launch with the Academic Department Chair.
• Maintain occasional availability during scheduled business hour windows.
• Communicate via email and Zoom when deadlines slip.
• Meet deadlines across a multi-month project (October to end of April).
• Work independently in Google Drive and Amplify to update course materials.
• Follow the course audit to implement required versions, improvements, and enhancements.
