Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to support M&P activities across product lines from a remote location. The role involves recommending materials, substantiating performance data, and developing design data and process specifications.

This contract position emphasizes design reviews for materials (metallic, non-metallic, composite), protective finishes, corrosion prevention, and collaborating with the material supply chain and operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Responsible for supporting Materials and Process (M&P) Engineering activities for all product lines.
  • Individual will perform design review and approval for: materials (metallic, non-metallic, composite), material processing notes, producibility, environmental conformance and selection of protective finishes.
  • Exposure to Static Systems including but not limited to Airframe, Interiors, Propulsion as well as Dynamic Systems including Blades, Rotors, Controls/Hydraulics and Transmissions.
  • The position will also interface and support the material supply chain, the parts supply chain and partners, Supplier Support Engineering, Product Integrity, Procurement, and Operations organizations, in addition to Design Engineering support.
  • Non-Destructive test methods
  • Protective finishes and coatings
  • Corrosion enhancement and prevention
