Job summary

Phase2 is seeking a hands-on data engineer turned strategist to architect scalable data systems and lead client conversations. You will design pipelines, model schemas, and integrations across CDPs, CRMs, and analytics tools to drive marketing outcomes.

You’ll work directly with clients, translating technical decisions into business narratives, and contribute reusable patterns for Phase2’s data practice. Remote, US-based work supports a flexible, outcome‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering in production environments with 2+ years in agency/consulting.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and dbt.
• Experience with CDPs and event systems; orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Experience integrating CRM/marketing tools (HubSpot, Salesforce).
• Familiar with AI tooling and coding assistants; comfortable with AI workflows.
• Agency/consulting experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design data models, schemas, and identity strategies to connect data to business outcomes.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines into cloud warehouses.
• Integrate warehouses with CDPs, CRM, marketing systems, and analytics tools.
• Configure audience activation flows using Reverse ETL and activation patterns.
• Develop attribution structures, UTMs, and campaign tracking.
