Welocalize is seeking a Maps Visual Design Relevance Evaluator (US, remote, freelance) to assess the aesthetic quality and readability of digital map designs. You will review how well the maps meet user needs, including viewport framing and geospatial accuracy, and provide precise tagging of issues for refinement.

Ideal candidates have a keen eye for design details, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to think critically about context and relevance.

Qualifications

• Must be located in the United States and eligible to work.
• Active Gmail account with prior usage on Google Maps.
• Participation limited to ~3 project rounds; project cadence will be announced ahead of kickoff.
• Strong eye for artistic detail, spatial awareness, and context for digital maps.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate aesthetic quality, readability, and polish of digital map designs.
• Assess user-focused elements like viewport framing, geospatial accuracy, and content relevance.
• Review personalized location recommendations for relevance and helpfulness.
• Tag issues such as Icons not properly masked and Labels too small.
