Job summary

Excellus Health Plan Inc. is seeking a Managed Care Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy benefits optimization, prior authorization processes, and member/physician inquiries.

Under supervision, you will assist with data entry, eligibility checks, and formulary tools, including on-call rotations. You will work with internal and external customers to resolve issues in the Facets system, coordinate with pharmacists, and support ad hoc projects within the pharmacy department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two years in health-related field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Review medical exception requests based on pharmacists' algorithms.
• Review clinical documentation for prior authorization approvals.
• Assist with data entry and monitoring of member profiles for prior authorization.
