Job summary

The Cigna Group invites Pharm.D. graduates to join a 12-month Health Plan Pharmacy Residency delivered by Evernorth Health Services, focusing on clinical strategy, formulary management, and health plan account partnerships.

This program operates virtually with occasional travel and emphasizes real-world, client-facing experience. Residents will work across Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace lines, learn to analyze trends, support evidence-based decisions, and participate in quality

Qualifications

Pharm.D. degree from ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
Pharmacy Licensure in any US State within 90 days of residency start.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Proficiency in written and verbal communications.
Strong career interest in Managed Care pharmacy.
Must upload Pharmacy School Transcript and Resume to application.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with health plan clients and account teams to develop clinical strategies.
Analyze pharmacy and medical trends to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
Support formulary, utilization management, and specialty drug initiatives.
Evaluate and implement clinical programs and innovative healthcare solutions.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives including Stars programs.
Participate in client presentations, planning discussions, and cross-functional groups.
Support value-based contracting, pipeline management, and therapy assessments.
Monitor regulatory developments impacting managed care pharmacy.
Contribute to projects and research supporting organizational and client objectives.
