Job summary

Solaris Counseling Services in Richmond, Virginia seeks a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our remote team. The LPC will assess needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and lead psychotherapy with diverse clients in a community health setting.

The role emphasizes telehealth sessions, adherence to ethical guidelines, and collaboration with an integrated care team. A VA license and 3+ years of direct client care are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling or related field.
• Active, unrestricted Virginia LPC license.
• At least three years of direct client care experience.
• Knowledge of legal/ethical guidelines in mental health.
• Strong interpersonal skills and rapport with diverse clients.
• Experience in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and establish treatment goals.
• Develop and implement therapy plans using CBT/DBT/psychodynamic/solution-focused approaches.
• Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and social workers for integrated care.
• Maintain secure clinical records per legal/ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.
