Job summary

Link Staffing is seeking a dependable Logistics Coordinator for a temporary 3–4 month assignment in Houston. The role supports domestic transportation operations for a Houston-based logistics company, primarily remote with weekly on-site training in the Memorial area.

Candidates must be local to Houston, with experience coordinating domestic trucking and freight, managing shipments in 3PL platforms, and proficient Excel use. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with pay $20–$25/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or freight coordination.
• Proficient in Excel for tracking shipments and rates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track domestic freight and trucking shipments
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates
• Request and compare trucking/freight rates
• Schedule pickups and deliveries
• Prepare Bills of Lading and related shipping documentation
• Enter shipment data in 3PL and transportation platforms
• Send shipment tracking links to customers and internal contacts
• Follow up with carriers on status, delays, and delivery
• Maintain shipment records and documentation
• Use Excel to track shipments, rates, and logistics data
• Communicate professionally with carriers, customers, internal team
• Manage fluctuating shipment volumes while staying organized
