Job summary

Independence Community College (ICC) invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in a remote setting. Compensation is $675 per credit hour, typically 3 credits per course, totaling $2025 per course.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in the discipline with 18 graduate credits in the concentration. Experience teaching in higher education and familiarity with Canvas are preferred for online instruction.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in the chosen discipline or related field with 18 graduate credits in the concentration.
• Preference for higher education teaching experience.
• Canvas LMS experience is preferred for online instruction.

Responsibilities

• Organize and teach on-line classes as assigned.
• Deliver quality instruction which prepares students for further education and/or the workplace.
• Manage the teaching environment to serve all learners.
• Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students.
• Maintain student attendance records.
• Submit mid-term and final grades.
• Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives including assessment and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professionalism with faculty, administration, staff and students.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
