Job summary

International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES) in Wilmington, DE seeks a part-time Local Coordinator to recruit volunteer host families, support international students, and help them pursue their American dream. This role works from home with local field duties and flexible scheduling.

You’ll visit families, build community connections, coordinate with schools, and mentor students during their stay. Prioritizes diversity, youth development, and reliable, independent work with ongoing ICES

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience in community engagement or program development is preferred.
• Must have high school diploma and 7+ years of life experience.
• Flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer host families from home and support students throughout the year.
• Build relationships in your community and conduct home visits.
• Coordinate with local high schools to support student success.
• Host or attend local events and check-ins with students and families.
• Mentor students during their stay in the U.S.
• Collaborate with ICES regional team for training and support.
