Job summary

ICF International, Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Prompt Engineer to design and implement NLP/ML models powering a web3 documentation chatbot. The role is remote within the United States and requires the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

You will design generative and discriminative LLMs, build wrapper apps, and collaborate with data science and core development teams to deploy AI solutions while documenting practices and ensuring compliance with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required by the federal government for this position.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• MUST RESIDE IN the United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 7 years of work experience as a software engineer or relevant experience
• 3+ Strong background in natural language processing, machine learning, and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement custom generative LLMs and discriminative LLMs.
• Create wrapper apps based on ChatGTP and other LLMs.
• Design, develop, and implement AI alignment, RLHF models, and AI guardrails.
• Conduct tests to evaluate LLMs on benchmarks and custom evaluations.
• Apply NLP/ML techniques to solve complex language problems.
• Translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
• Develop and maintain NLP/ML documentation and best practices.
• Collaborate on distributed training infrastructure for LLMs.
• Lead product design/implementation from scratch with data science and core teams.
• Integrate AI technologies into internal and external tools.
• Provide technical leadership in AI audits and model improvements.
• Fine-tune AI models based on performance data and feedback
