Cognizant in the United States is seeking an LLM Engineer to design, build, and deploy large language model solutions powering enterprise AI capabilities. You will collaborate with data scientists, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready generative AI features.

The role emphasizes hands-on model fine-tuning, optimization, and evaluation, plus RAG, prompts, and APIs across cloud or on-prem platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Software/AI Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years deploying Generative AI/LLM/SLM in production.
• Experience building enterprise AI apps using LLMs, RAG, prompts, APIs, and cloud/on-prem platforms.
• Strong fine-tuning, adaptation, evaluation frameworks, and AI quality measurement.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize LLM/SLM solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Develop and maintain supervised fine-tuning and evaluation pipelines.
• Apply optimization techniques like LoRA, QLoRA, distillation, quantization.
• Evaluate models across quality, cost, scalability, operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enterprise AI solutions.
