Job summary

MaziCTools is seeking a Live Sports Remote Director to manage on-air productions for remote sporting events across the United States. This full-time role involves collaboration with college sports departments to ensure seamless production and technical execution during broadcasts.

The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience directing live events, alongside strong communication and technical skills. Benefits include flexibility to work remotely and opportunities to engage with industry-standard techniques.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressively complex live sporting event directing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of live remote sporting event directing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction on all television production roles to schools.
• Liaise with school production partners for feedback on student-created content.
• Plan and execute live event productions while documenting assigned events.
• Make real-time decisions about broadcast content and coverage.

Skills

Knowledge of real-time live sporting event directing processes

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely during live telecasts

Familiarity with the technical equipment used in live remote sporting events

Strong directing skills with a focus on above-the-line and below-the-line roles

Knowledge of sports and sports history

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
