Job summary

Lockwood Publishing Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Live Ops Engineering team, building and scaling internal systems that power Avakin Life for millions of players.

You will collaborate across teams, own domain modules, and help deliver secure, reliable platforms with a focus on frontend (React/WordPress) and backend (Python/Golang). The role is fully remote with occasional meetups for social interaction and strategy sessions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Agile concepts and processes.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with DevOps concepts and processes.
• Familiar with frontend development with React and WordPress.
• Backend experience in Python and Golang (or Java/Node/C#).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to identify necessary functionality and determine the best solution.
• Work within an agile, cross-functional team to deliver maximum value.
• Take on new technical skillsets as needed.
• Manage risk through dev-ops practices and thorough testing, maintaining high quality.
