Job summary

The Thomas Law Office PLC in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support our business litigation practice. This role combines substantive legal work with driving cases forward, coordinating with attorneys and support staff, and growing into a central, valued member of our team.

You will own assigned matters, monitor deadlines, draft pleadings and discovery documents, prepare for hearings and trials, and conduct procedural research in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience reviewing discovery and document productions.
• Experience drafting litigation-related documents.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and case-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to delegate administrative tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze discovery responses and document productions.
• Prepare document chronologies and issue summaries.
• Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, correspondence, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearing preparation, and exhibit organization.
• Conduct procedural and factual research.
• Monitor court dockets and identify required actions.
• Identify missing evidence, inconsistencies, and factual gaps within case files.
