Job summary

Farmers Insurance is seeking a remote paralegal to support its California Staff Counsel team. The role focuses on answering interrogatories, preparing motions, and managing trial documents for civil litigation.

Virtual work also requires coordinating with attorneys on case strategy and evidence preparation. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2-year Associates or 3 years paralegal experience, plus ABA-approved certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2 year Associates Degree OR 3 years experience working as a Paralegal.
• Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program or degree in paralegal studies required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists attorneys in answering interrogatories, interviews clients and reduces answers to writing with attorney review.
• Reviews and summarizes medical records and arranges for medical examinations as directed.
• Assists in preparing motions and researches legal points related thereto.
• Interviews witnesses preparatory to and during trials as necessary.
• Assists in preparing documents and evidence for trial.
• Performs other functions as assigned.
