Job description

Remote Litigation Attorneys Needed – Role Starts 7/21 or 7/28

Legalpeople is currently working with a law firm client to staff a large litigation matter. Please note, this is not a traditional document review case, and candidates must have at least a year of law firm litigation experience (not including solo practice). Candidates will be reviewing large case files, and extracting information from filings, depositions, testimonies, etc. Candidates must be available to start during the noted weeks, and commit to work for at least the initial 3 month term.

Details of the Role:

• Beginning week of 7/21 or 7/28
• Pay rate of $45/hour, straight time
• Initially 3 months, this project has the potential to expand well beyond the initial deadline
• Must work 40 hours per week, but may work up to 50 hours per week depending on the state. Additional hours may be available after initial 3-month term.
• Work hours are flexible. Open hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 11pm. Weekend work may become available.
• Process will include 2 interviews (first with Legalpeople, then with firm).

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Reviewing past litigation files to find required information from motions, expert witness testimony, and depositions;
• Demonstrating a thorough understanding of civil litigation strategy to complete files;
• Extracting required information from the files, and recording in Relativity database; and
• Using knowledge of Relativity to thoughtfully record required information.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of law firm civil litigation experience,
• Working knowledge of Relativity database,
• A demonstrated understanding of the litigation lifecycle, case strategy, and the ability to identify requested documents within large case files,
• An active bar in good standing in any US state, and
• The ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
