Qualifications

• Active Tennessee law license in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Strong foundation in civil litigation; courtroom and motion-practice experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail; strong organizational and deadline-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for proceedings.
• Appear in court and argue motions.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Prepare for hearings and trials; manage case deadlines and calendars.
• Develop litigation strategy with the firm; manage substantial portions of cases independently.
• Move matters from initial strategy through resolution; exercise good judgment and collaboration when needed.
