Job summary

WRS Health is seeking a Linux/AWS Systems Administrator to manage Debian-based systems and cloud infrastructure in AWS. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and security in production environments.

You will automate operations with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK, write scripts in Bash/Python, and monitor with Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch. Collaboration with engineering and CI/CD teams is essential for smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Linux system administration experience.
• Hands-on Debian Linux in production environments.
• Strong AWS services knowledge (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Automation with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK required.
• Scripting in Bash or Python; networking basics; DNS and load balancers.
• Experience with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, Fargate) a plus.
• Version control with Git; CI/CD collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Debian-based Linux systems in production.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS).
• Automate operations with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Write scripts to automate routine tasks (Bash, Python).
• Ensure performance, availability, and security; address incidents promptly.
• Configure monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch.
• Support containerized environments (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate).
• Collaborate with engineering to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
• Maintain documentation and version control with Git.
