Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a hands-on Lighting & AV Systems Designer to create installation‑ready drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for North American projects. You’ll translate markups, troubleshoot low‑voltage systems, and support installers while collaborating with the design lead.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, DMX/pixel knowledge, and a proactive approach to documentation, with a fully remote setup across the US and Canada.

Qualifications

• At least three years in a design or drafting role with an AV integrator, lighting integrator, or systems integration company.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate, professional drawings independently; Revit or D‑Tools is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of DC voltage drop, power injection, power supply sizing, and low‑voltage LED system design.
• Experience creating signal‑flow diagrams, rack drawings, cable schedules, wiring diagrams, or similar documentation.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and communicate practical solutions under time pressure.
• Clear, professional phone communication and ability to support electricians and installers on active job sites.
• Regular use of AI tools in professional workflows.

Responsibilities

• Translate design lead markups into wiring diagrams, single‑line diagrams, fixture and cable layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare costed bills of materials in CPQ and ERP systems.
• Provide installer technical support for pixel data faults, DMX addressing, voltage drop, and controller configuration.
• Investigate discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and explain technical solutions to installers.
• Maintain drawing and documentation accuracy to meet standards and be installable.
• Create installer‑facing resources to reduce repeat calls and improve installation efficiency.
• Collaborate with design leadership to review markups and improve project deliverables.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and documentation quality.
