Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com seeks an experienced Liferay Systems Administrator to support the migration of a legacy Liferay customer portal to Commerce Cloud and a new Customer Portal. The role covers day-to-day administration, upgrades and issue resolution within Liferay environments while collaborating with migration teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in enterprise sysadmin, strong JVM skills, and hands-on cloud/Kubernetes experience, with Liferay certification highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise system administration experience, with at least 4+ years dedicated to Liferay DXP production environments.
• Advanced JVM expertise: JVM internals, thread dumps, heap diagnostics.
• Cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Liferay Certified Professional System Administrator (or equivalent) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Portal migration by providing day-to-day support to the existing Liferay Portal businesses and users.
• Administer and maintain Liferay Portal environments including upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and incidents properly.
• Manage and update Jira tickets.
• Maintain system documentation and provide technical support to developers and support teams.
• Deliver current state documentation based on existing Liferay portals.
• Conduct utilization assessments to support as needed.
• Coordinate across functional teams and business partners for process implementation.
