Job summary

LearnWell is seeking passionate tutors to provide 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring for middle and high school students from home. Prior IL PEL LBS1 certification is required, with a BA/BS degree and comfort teaching Math and Science.

The role requires consistent availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–10:00 PM EST, up to 12.5 hours weekly, with higher hours during peak season. Compensation is $28/hour for sessions and administrative time.

Qualifications

• IL PEL LBS1 teaching license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience with middle and high school students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently online.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring.
• Support upper-level Math and Science topics.
• Guide students through educational material to ensure academic success.
