You’re a compassionate therapist who shares our mission to transform behavioral health care. You want to make a difference, spend more time with patients than paperwork, and thrive in a collaborative environment supported by coaches and supervisors. You aim to help participants develop actionable skills and build healthy habits through evidence-based protocols.

You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., with some challenges to address.

Depending on your current state licensures, applying for additional state licenses may be necessary.

  • 1099 Contracts Available!
  • Manage a caseload of at least 10 participants in treatment
  • Work 10 hours per week within 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, with scheduling flexibility once set
  • Pay rate: $40-$60 per session hour, depending on state of residence

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote care through an 8-week evidence-based program
  • Monitor participant progress, communicate follow-ups, and document sessions
  • Assist participants with resource access, consent, and authorization forms
  • Respond to high-risk situations following company protocols
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and town halls
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and complete annual training

Required Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent
  • Current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for California only
  • Availability for a consistent 10+ hours/week schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CBT, DBT, or solution-focused therapy
  • Interest in obtaining licensure in additional states
  • Passion for impacting lives and advancing behavioral care
  • Remote work adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

State-specific info: For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C.: The hourly rate ranges from $28.03 to $54.95, based on various factors including experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility.
