Adjuvant Behavioral Health is seeking empathetic therapists for a fully remote role licensed in Texas. The therapist will manage a client load, conduct individual and family sessions, and guide treatment using SMART goals. A strong emphasis on collaboration and ongoing professional development is expected.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in counseling, two years of professional experience, and an active Texas behavioral health license. Telehealth experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Counsel clients individually and/or in family sessions to support coping and adjustment.
• Refer to IOP if limited improvement after 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in developing skills and strategies for their issues.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with SMART goals within 72 hours of intake and update every 4 weeks.
• Prepare and maintain client records and progress notes within required timelines.
• Evaluate clients' mental health status based on available information.
• Collaborate with staff to complete assessments and plans within 2 days of care.
• Refer patients to community resources or specialists as needed.
• Stay informed on new counseling developments by reading literature and attending courses.

We are looking for empathetic, experienced mental health professionals to come along side us in this endeavor!

This is a fully remote position.

Pay: $60-62/hr.

Role:

Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the mission of the clinic, a therapist will seek to facilitate hope and change in the lives of their clients who have been affected by cancer. A therapist is responsible for accepting referrals and maintaining a client load (minimum 18 hours per week).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or within family sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge, establishing SMART goals with the patient. Treatment plans are to be developed 72 hours after intake and updated / modified every 4 weeks.
• Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including client diagnostic records and progress notes. Progress notes are to be developed 48 hours after every session.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree from an accredited college or university
• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting
• Current and active license to practice behavioral health in Texas

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in healthcare with oncology
• 1 year experience in Telehealth Settings
