Job summary

Adjuvant Behavior Health Inc. is seeking a licensed therapist for a fully remote role to support oncology patients and families. You will accept referrals, maintain a client load (minimum 18 hours per week), and collaborate with the care team to guide clients toward hopeful outcomes.

The position requires a Texas LCSW license, a master's degree, and at least two years of professional experience in counseling. Telehealth experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional-level experience in a counselor setting.
• Current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients individually and/or with family sessions to aid in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.
• Guide clients in developing skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience, establishing SMART goals within 72 hours of intake and updating every 4 weeks.
• Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including diagnostic records and progress notes (progress notes within 48 hours after each session).
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on client information.
• Collaborate with staff to perform assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care.
• Refer patients to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading literature, attending courses and seminars, or maintaining contact with social service agencies.

We are looking for empathetic, experienced mental health professionals to come along side us in this endeavor!

This is a fully remote role.

Pay: $60-62/hr.

Role:

Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the mission of the clinic, a therapist will seek to facilitate hope and change in the lives of their clients who have been affected by cancer. A therapist is responsible for accepting referrals and maintaining a client load (minimum 18 hours per week).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Counsel clients or patients individually and/or within family sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
• Make internal referrals to IOP if little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of OP therapy.

• Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition, based on review of client information.
• Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care with the existing patient.
• Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.
• Learn about new developments in counseling by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, or establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree from an accredited college or university
• Two years of professional level experience in a counselor setting
• Current and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in Texas

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in healthcare with oncology
• 1 year experience in Telehealth Settings
