Job summary

MASC Medical is hiring a contract, fully remote counselor licensed in Pennsylvania to provide telehealth therapy to adults with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and dementia as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering outpatient care.

You will perform psychosocial assessments and individual psychotherapy through a telehealth platform, with audio-only sessions as backup when needed. A confidential home workspace and reliable internet are required.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania LPC license and full licensure for at least 4 years.
• Ability to bill Medicare for services.
• Experience delivering psychotherapy via telehealth.
• Experience assessing, planning, and treating common mental health or substance use disorders.
• Proficient in brief behavioral interventions (motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation).
• Quiet, confidential home workspace with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual psychosocial assessments and individual psychotherapy via telehealth.
• Deliver time-framed, goal-focused therapy using evidence-based methods.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy and support groups.
• Support caregivers and family members of patients with dementia and SMI.
• Document treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms in the EMR.
• Collaborate in daily team huddles to address social determinants of health.

Schedule: Around 20 hours a week, although those hours are subject to change based on patient volume

Duration: 6+ months

Location: 100% remote / work from home

Must have active Pennsylvania LPC license, must have held a full license for at least 4 years and must be able to bill Medicare.

MASC Medical is hiring a contract, fully remote counselorlicensed in Pennsylvania on behalf of our client — a fast-growing, virtual-first behavioral health organization. You'll provide telehealth therapy to adults with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorders, and dementia — including older adults — as part of a multidisciplinary care team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, community health workers, and medical assistants delivering wrap-around outpatient care that keeps patients out of the hospital.

What you'll do

Provide virtual psychosocial assessments and individual psychotherapy through a telehealth platform (audio-only sessions as backup when patients can't access video)

Deliver time-framed, goal-focused, skill-based therapy using evidence-based approaches: CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation

Lead and facilitate group therapy and support groups

Provide support and advocacy to caregivers and family members of patients with dementia and SMI

Document treatment response and monitor clinical symptoms in the EMR

Collaborate in daily team huddles; identify social determinants of health needs the care team will work to resolve

What you'll need

Must have held a full license for at least 4 years
