Edmentum is seeking a Principal Learning Designer to lead the design of high-impact, research-aligned instructional content. You will mentor teams, collaborate with product, research, and engineering, and drive innovation in digital learning to meet top quality standards.

You have 7+ years in instructional design or related fields; you are a strategic thinker and strong communicator who is committed to equity and culturally responsive pedagogy.

Qualifications

• You have a master's or doctoral degree in the learning sciences, education, instructional design, or related field, or commensurate experience.
• You have 7 or more years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
• You are an expert in instructional design principles and learning science.
• You lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• You mentor and coach multiple teams.
• You have experience presenting at and participating in external councils and convenings.
• You are a strategic thinker and strong communicator.
• You are data-driven and focused on improving learning outcomes.
• You are familiar with digital learning platforms and tools.
• You are committed to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the design of high-quality instructional content and experiences through collaboration with product, research, and engineering teams.
• Maintain and share subject matter expertise in learning science and instructional design, mentoring peers, and guiding best practices across teams.
• Establish credibility of Edmentum learning design through engagement of external advisory committees and industry councils.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and feedback.
• Lead innovation and change initiatives in digital learning experiences.
