Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a Lead Waterfront/Marine Structural Engineer to act as technical lead on a variety of waterfront and coastal projects. You will support planning, engineering, and construction of shoreline protection, stabilization, and marine structures, performing coastal calculations, structural analyses, and developing construction documents while adopting the latest design technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer License (or ability to obtain within 12 months) preferred (or required in some jurisdictions).
• Strong leadership and client-facing capabilities beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and designer on coastal, waterfront, and marine infrastructure projects.
• Perform coastal condition calculations and structural analyses for shoreline protection and marine structures.
• Lead the development of construction documents (plans and specifications) and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, deliverables and quality.
• Identify and implement innovative design and engineering technologies and standard work practices.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge and support the firm's technical library in coastal engineering.
• Prepare and review technical approaches and proposals; build strong client relationships.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for clients through project lifecycle.
• Build, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
