Job summary

Epta is seeking a Thermal Engineer to lead product development and thermal design for a commercial refrigeration system. The role focuses on CFD-driven analysis, 1D/2D thermal modeling, and hands-on lab testing in collaboration with test engineers.

Responsibilities include heat exchanger and refrigerant piping design, air flow optimization, and producing design approval reports. Remote work is possible, with training through Epta Academy and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Thermal/Mechanical Engineering degree with 7+ years (bachelor) or 5+ years (master) experience.
• Competency with thermal/fluid flow design and analysis.
• Knowledge of CFD and lab testing in collaboration with test engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and thermal design for a commercial refrigerator.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers within or outside the organization.
• Optimize design using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D thermal modeling.
• Troubleshooting using DFMEA and root cause analysis.
• Design of heat exchangers and refrigerant piping in a refrigerator.
• Air flow optimization and fan selection.
• Generate and present reports for design approval.
• Draft and publish internal engineering standards and procedures.
