Job summary

Coderpad is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our EMEA Engineering team in France. This is a full-time, remote position with CET/CEST hours and asynchronous collaboration with distributed teams in Europe, the US, and beyond.

You will design, build, and ship features across the full stack (TypeScript/React on the frontend, Java/Node.js/Ruby on the backend), drive architecture discussions, review code, and mentor engineers while delivering reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Ruby, Node.js).
• Frontend framework experience with React is required.
• Strong SQL skills and designing scalable, reliable systems.
• Able to work autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new full-stack features (React/TypeScript on frontend, Java/Node.js/Ruby on backend).
• Drive architecture decisions and backlog grooming with Product Manager.
• Write automated tests and ensure code quality through reviews.
• Deploy and monitor features in production (GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with Product and other teams to scope and deliver impactful work.
