Job summary

Cohere Health, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer for a remote-first role that may require travel to Boston, MA for onboarding and occasional in-person team meetings and company events.

You will lead end-to-end feature releases on our cloud platform, mentor junior engineers, design scalable data services and APIs, and collaborate with product and design to deliver high-quality healthcare software. This role emphasizes security, testing, and a culture of quality, with hands-on work across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of experience in software development lifecycle.
• Experience building applications using React and TypeScript or another modern web framework.
• Fluency in Java.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the technical design process and contribute to data-driven decisions.
• Contribute to feature design, development, testing, and delivery of cloud platform and web applications.
• Support all parts of the platform from the database to the frontend.
• Continuously discover and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Improve testing, quality, and coverage; promote best practices.
