Job summary

Evolvesquads is seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer, Client Systems, to build and evolve software that runs on customer endpoints and coordinates securely with cloud services. This role spans desktop/native-like environments and cloud services, with emphasis on reliability, security, and multi-device coordination.

The ideal candidate has strong CS fundamentals, experience shipping production client software, and the ability to mentor engineers while driving architectural direction across

Qualifications

• Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing distributed systems and cross-device coordination.
• Ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and implementation of software on customer endpoints and cloud interactions.
• Design reliable synchronization and state-management across clients, devices, and backend infrastructure.
• Develop software interacting with local storage, file systems, networking, and OS services.
• Design and evolve secure protocols between client and cloud components.
• Ensure security and reliability via secure coding and thoughtful system design.
• Diagnose performance, scalability, and reliability issues; collaborate across teams.
• Lead through architectural judgment, code reviews, and technical mentorship.
